SevenRooms Launches in Asia to Power Hospitality Recovery

Local customers include 1-Group, Jigger & Pony, Wine Connection and Pirata Group. SevenRooms plans to expand local workforce across Singapore and Hong Kong by 120% by the end of 2022. 

SINGAPORE (28 APRIL 2022) – SevenRooms, a guest experience and retention platform for the hospitality industry, continues its international expansion, announcing its official launch and increased investment in Singapore and Hong Kong. The local team will be led by APAC General Manager, Paul Hadida, who has over a decade of hospitality industry experience and has led SevenRooms rapid expansion in Australia over the last 18 months. 

SevenRooms’ arrival comes as operators are looking to the future, while simultaneously contending with the continued impacts of the pandemic, including staff shortages and evolving guest expectations. SevenRooms helped thousands of venues in hundreds of cities around the world transform their operations to mitigate the impact of the pandemic and cater to evolving consumer demands. It will do likewise for the industry in Singapore and Hong Kong which has been beset by business closures and staff shortages over the last two years. 

According to data from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the number of people employed in accommodation and Food & Beverage (F&B) services in Singapore has dropped 13% from December 2019 to December 2021. However, with the recent relaxing of restrictions, reservations across Singapore are surging. In Hong Kong, restrictions remain, but the recent reopening of international borders to select countries and an anticipated easing of social distancing measures in April are providing hope.

Furthering its investment in the region, SevenRooms will be significantly ramping its on-the-ground presence in Hong Kong and Singapore with the hiring of Sales and Customer Success roles. The company is currently recruiting heavily across the region, with 11% of the company’s total global roles for 2022 expected for the APAC region. This will account for a 120% increase in the number of SevenRooms employees across Singapore and Hong Kong. 

SevenRooms currently works with thousands of restaurants across the globe, including nearly 750 restaurants throughout Hong Kong and Singapore. It has existing integrations with technology partners throughout the region, including Chope, OpenRice, Zomato, eats365, xnProtel, Bindo POS, Everyware, Revel Systems, Infrasys, Infogenesis, Micros Simphony 2 and ikentoo. Over the coming months, SevenRooms will continue to build out integrations across the region, in addition to opening offices in both Hong Kong and Singapore.
